Those who have been eagerly waiting to watch Priyanka Chopra in a Bollywood film, your wait has finally come to an end. While the actress may have exited out of Salman Khan starrer Bharat, PeeCee is still very much a part of Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink which also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

The flick goes on floors today and Priyanka took to her Instagram page to reveal that she is quite excited an happy to kickstart the shoot for this film. She also shared a few clicks of her with her film team members. Have a look at them here-

The Sky Is Pink Is Inspired By A True Story

For those who ain't aware, this Shonali Bose directorial is reportedly based on the life of late motivational speaker and author Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immunodeficiency disorder. Reportedly, Priyanka and Farhan play Zaira's parents in the film.

Farhan & Priyanka To Reunite On-Screen After Three Years

The duo were last seen together in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. Earlier, speculations were rife that Abhishek Bachchan might be cast opposite Priyanka. But eventually, it was Farhan Akhtar who bagged the role.

'The Sky Is Pink' is the working title of this Priyanka-Farhan-Zaira starrer. The film will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, London and Andaman. Directed by Shonali Bose, 'The Sky Is Pink' is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala.

Priyanka who will be back on screen with Farhan, 3 years after they were seen together in Dil Dhadakne Do shared, "I look forward to diving into this film...it's very special to me. As soon I read it, I knew I had to be a part of telling this story, so I'm wearing two hats on this one... as an actor and as a co-producer. In both aspects, I am equally excited to work with the amazing team of actors and technicians we have on board. Shonali is a formidable filmmaker and I can't wait to see this story unfold in her expertise. I'm looking forward to working with Farhan, Ronnie and Sid again. All in all, it's a great homecoming."

On the other hand, Farhan said, "I am happy to be a part of Shonali's next. It is a beautiful story and I am looking forward to working with Priyanka again and collaborating with Ronnie and Sid."
