Claiming that he knows Nana Patekar as someone who does "crazy things", he said that Nana can't do such a thing even know he is known to be "indecent". Raj further said that the court will look into the matter and the people must not arrive at a judgement on social media.

A Times Now report quoted Raj Thackeray as saying, "I know Nana Patekar; he is indecent. He does crazy things but I don't think he can do such a thing. Court will look into it. What is the media to do with it? #MeToo is a serious matter, the debate over it on Twitter isn't right."

On the other hand, Nana is yet to react to Tanushree's allegations, but he recently said at a media interaction, 'Truth is the same as he had said 10 years back.'
