The
Ganesh
Chaturthi
celebrations
at
RK
studio
are
one
of
its
kind
with
thousands
thronging
to
catch
a
glimpse
of
Ganpati
Bappa
at
this
iconic
studio
in
Chembur.
This
time,
too,
the
Kapoor
clan
reunited
to
welcome
the
elephant
god
but,
unfortunately,
it
will
be
their
last
Ganesh
Utsav
at
the
studio.
Confirming
the
same,
an
emotional
Randhir
Kapoor
was
quoted
as
saying
by
Pinkvilla,
"This
was
indeed
the
last
Ganesh
Utsav
for
RK
Studios."
Speaking
to
the
press
on
the
occasion,
the
actor
couldn't
hold
back
his
emotions
about
selling
the
studio
and
welcoming
Ganpati
Bappa
for
one
last
time.
He
said
he
and
his
family
are
sad
that
they
must
sell
the
studio
but
following
the
fire,
reviving
the
production
house
and
revamping
the
place
is
nearly
impossible
for
them.
Talking
about
the
sale
of
RK
studio,
Randhir
Kapoor
had
earlier
told
Quint,
"It's
not
economically
viable
for
us
to
set
up
a
new
studio
-
we
had
to
dismantle
the
entire
place
after
the
fire.
It's
even
more
an
emotional
loss
than
monetary
loss.
We
have
lost
the
entire
memorabilia
of
Raj
Kapoor.
Whatever
Raj
Kapoor
had
built
has
been
burnt
down.
Everything
is
gone."
For
decades,
the
Kapoors
have
been
celebrating
Ganesh
Chaturthi
at
the
RK
Studio.
Many
flock
to
get
glimpse
of
the
Kapoors,
the
brothers
-
Rishi,
Randhir
and
Rajeev
Kapoor
along
with
Ranbir
dance
on
the
day
of
visarjan.
A
Bollywoodlife
report
states
that
not
only
the
Kapoors,
but
many
employees
of
the
famous
production
house
were
also
seen
breaking
down
while
the
pooja
took
place.
While
Randhir
and
Rajeev
Kapoor
were
seen
performing
puja
at
the
studio
this
year,
their
brother
Rishi
Kapoor
was
spotted
bringing
the
elephant
god
to
his
Bandra
abode.
