Salman Khan's Co-star In Veergati Pooja Dadwal Recovers From TB! Thanks Him For Helping Her Out
Salman Khan's co-star in Veergati, Pooja Dadwal defeats tuberculosis and is on the path to complete recovery, all thanks to Salman Khan and his foundation Being Human for providing all necessary help.

Salman Khan's co-star in Veergati, Pooja Dadwal was admitted in March 2018 due to tuberculosis and had no money to clear the hospital bills and was abandoned by her family and friends. She made a plea to Salman Khan, asking him to help her out in these tough times, and the actor swung into action through his NGO 'Being Human' and now Pooja Dadwal has partially recovered from TB and will soon be discharged.
Pooja Dadwal opened up about her recovery to Mumbai Mirror by saying, "I can't describe how I am feeling. When I was hospitalised on March 2, I thought I was going to die there - bedridden in a corner of that depressing ward. My family and friends had abandoned me. I gave up all hope after the doctors told me that my lungs were severely affected. Incessant coughing and breathlessness had left me weak. And I saw so many like me, dying all alone - their friends and family, like mine, had deserted them. But then I decided that I don't want to end up like that. I decided to fight, to not let the disease win."
She also thanked Salman Khan for his help and said, "Yes, one of the side-effects of tuberculosis is social rejection but I am really thankful to Salman Khan who lent me the support. From clothes to soaps, diapers, food, medicines, his foundation took care of everything. If I survived the ordeal, it is only because of him."
Dr Lalit Anande, who is currently treating Pooja Dadwal opened up to Mumbai Mirror stating that she needs to continue her medications for another month and only then will she get to the path of complete recovery. He said, "We were stumped with Pooja's latest CT scan report. The lesions were reduced, her appetite was better, she has gained weight, her sputum was negative. Though her report suggests that she is TB bacteria free but she has to complete another one month course."
