Fans were excited when they heard that Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will be reuniting after ten years in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. However, their excitement didn't last long, as the 'Quantico' actress walked out of the film just a few days before she was to commence shooting for the film. Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted that the reason why Priyanka left Bharat is "very, very special" and she informed them just in "the Nick of time". Eventually, Katrina Kaif replaced Priyanka Chopra in the film.

Ali's cryptic tweet led to speculations that Priyanka opted out of Bharat because she was to tie the knot with Nick Jonas. If that wasn't enough, it was even later reported that the actress bagged a Hollywood film Cowboy Ninja Viking with Chris Pratt. Meanwhile, there were reports floating around that Salman Khan was upset with Priyanka's abrupt exit from Bharat.

Well, the superstar finally opened about Priyanka's decision to quit Bharat at an event and guess what, the actor had some startling revelations to make.

Salman Is Happy For Priyanka

The superstar was quoted as saying, "I am really happy for her. Had we known that she has signed such a big film in Hollywood and known it well in advance, we would not have stopped her from leaving our film."

She Informed Them At The Last Moment

Salman said, "She told us at the very last moment, just 10 days before shoot. My shooting had already begun but we got to know she wants to leave the film just 10 days before shoot."

To this, Salman said it was her choice if she wants to work with him or a ‘bada hero' from Hollywood. "We said of course, if you don't want to do it, don't do it. We were given different reasons back then," he went on to reveal.

Priyanka Gave Him This Reason For Opting Out Of Bharat

Salman added, "But whatever the reason may be, the wedding, the movie, or if she doesn't want to work in an Indian movie, or doesn't want to work with me, or work only in Hollywood film and TV, these are her reasons. We are really happy and supportive about her doing good work."

"So what if she doesn't work here? She is making India proud out there. If she doesn't work with Salman but works with a big hero in Hollywood, she is making India proud," the superstar further added.

Earlier, Salman's father Salim Khan had reacted to Priyanka's sudden exit from Bharat and told Spotboye, "It's okay whatever happened. Priyanka is not doing Bharat, let her be. Such things happen in our industry. Nope, it's not the nth hour. And I repeat, such things happen- sometimes they happen for date issues, or the role, or even the money aspect. Aur kabhi aadmi ki kuch apni majbooriyan hoti hai. I haven't yet got into the details of why Priyanka left Bharat, but we shall soon cast someone else. We are not upset with Priyanka. Salman Khan is also not upset."

When Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra was asked about reports hinting a rift between Priyanka and Salman, she had said, "I don't know if Salman is upset or not, please ask him but yes Priyanka has exited Bharat."
