Tanushree Dutta #MeToo Case: Police Records Actor Sudhir Pandey's Statement!
Tanushree Dutta sexual harassment case: Police records statement of Sudhir Pandey as a witness in the case. The police will also record a few more witnesses soon with regards to the issue.
Tanushree Dutta's sexual harassment case is finally making progress, as the police took down statements of actor Sudhir Pandey, who is a member of Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA). Sudhir Pandey was present during the shoot of Horn OK Please in 2008 and is a witness to what occurred on that fateful day. It is reported that the police will also take statements from the others who came forward as witnesses in the Tanushree-Nana case.
Actor Sudhir Pandey opened up by saying, "I've provided the cops with the facts of the case and minutes of the meeting between the complainant and the party in which the issue of sexual harassment was raised. Since the complainant had also lodged a police complaint, we followed the standard procedure," he said to the reporters.
More Number Of Witnesses Will Be Recorded By The Police!
"The statements of those named in the FIR will also be recorded once the investigation progresses and videos of what happened behind the scenes will be recovered," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source.
CINTAA Provides Full Support Towards The Case
CINTAA general secretary Sushant Singh said during the press conference that the organisation is providing full support towards the case. "We are looking into the cases of Nana Patekar-Tanushree Dutta, Alok Nath-Vinta Nanda and Flora Saini-Gaurang Doshi cases and we are co-operating with police. We are taking legal advice to decide our plan of action in the coming days. We hope that in the end truth will prevail."
Tanushree Dutta Had Lashed Out Against CINTAA Previously
Just a week ago, Tanushree Dutta had lashed out against CINTAA for "all talk, no action" and stated that they talk about justice and law in front of the cameras, but when the cameras are off, they sit on the file and do nothing.
Nana Patekar To Land In Prison?
Tanushree Dutta's lawyer Nitin Satpute had said earlier said that if the police finds supporting evidence from the witness statements against Nana Patekar, he will soon land up in jail.
