Swara Bhaskar said that women should not be anonymous in the #MeToo movement as that hampers investigation. Tanushree Dutta spoke against it & said women want to be anaonymous as it's not comfortable.
The #MeToo movement is gaining steam all across the country and several women have come out by naming and shaming their harassers in public. While some have come out openly, the others have remained under the cloak of being anonymous. Just a few weeks ago, Swara Bhaskar, a spear-header of the #MeToo movement herself, stated that women should not be anonymous while naming their sexual harassers as that hepls the investigation to find facts and corroborates stories and bring justice. However, Tanushree Dutta has a different take on the issue. Here's what she had to say...
Tanushree Dutta Replies To Swara Bhaskar Who Discouraged Women To Be Anonymous
"I'm surprised she said that (Swara Bhaskar). See, this movement is a more like a social cleansing. Offences of a sexual nature can never be so black and white, you cannot always try them in a court of law. That's why today in our country there are so many cases that have not yet come to their judgement," she said to LiveMint.

"You cannot always bring proof - women will have to wear cameras on their foreheads if one has to prove everything that has happened to them."
Women Will Be Anonymous Because They're Not Comfortable Talking
"When something like a social media movement happens, I'm sorry this is how it goes. Some people are going to be anonymous because they are just not comfortable talking."
I'm Still Waiting For Justice, Says Tanushree Dutta
"You know harassment when you experience it. You know it is not light-hearted, it affects you. It has led to people leaving their jobs, you becoming incapable of doing your job. Workplace harassment makes it difficult to go on working. Not to forget that I'm still waiting for justice."
