Tanushree Dutta Slaps Rakhi Sawant With Rs.10 Crore Defamation Suit For Calling Her A Liar!
After Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, Rakhi Sawant had called Tanushree a liar. Now, the actress has responded and has filed a Rs 10 Crore defamation suit against Rakhi.
The ongoing #MeToo movement caught steam in the film industry after Tanushree Dutta shared her story alleging that Nana Patekar sexually harassed her during the shoot of a song from 'Horn Ok Pleassss'. The actress resurfaced with these allegations as she returned from the States to Mumbai for a holiday. Tanushree has filed a police complaint and is now seeking the legal route to address this issue.
Meanwhile, Rakhi Sawant who had replaced Tanushree in the song from Horn Ok Pleassss' recently took a press conference where she called Tanushree a 'liar' and accused her seeking publicity with her 'cooked up stories'. Reacting to Rakhi's allegations, Tanushree has now slapped a Rs. 10 crore defamation suit against the actress.
Tanushree Files A Rs. 10 Crore Defamation Case On Rakhi
Tanushree's advocate Nitin Satpute told Republic TV, "We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client's character and image. If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both."

She had said, "These are fake allegations on Nana Patekar ji and Ganesh Acharya. Tanushree Dutta has gone mad. She was in a coma for 10 years. She has just woke up after a coma of 10 years. I don't like saying such things about a woman. I respect womens. but this Tanushree Dutta who has returned from America after 10 years is vomitted such things because she has exhausted all the money from her bank account and has no work, has nothing and is blaming Nana Patekar ji."
'I Have Done A Song, Nana Did Not Touch Me A Little'
Rakhi had further added, " She is talking about the past which has nothing to do with the incident. Nothing of this sort ever happened. If something like this would have happened..have you seen my song with Nana Patekar... have you seen it... where is that song...show that song. I have done a song, he did not even touch me a little."

Meanwhile, Nana Patekar recently responded to the complaint filed by Tanushree with the Cine and Television Artistes' Association (CINTAA), and called her claims 'motivated' and 'malicious'.
Coming back to the #MeToo movement, more and more names have tumbled out with Bollywood biggies like Sajid Khan, Anu Malik, Alok Nath, Mukesh Chhabra, Subhash Ghai, Kailash Kher amongst others been named and shamed for their sexual misconduct.
