The lovebirds tied the knot as per Konkani-Brahmin rituals in the presence of close friends and family at a 800 year old villa overlooking Lake Como. The decor of the wedding venue was decorated in the shades of white and gold. While clear pictures from the wedding are yet to emerge, we did come across a few distant shots which proved that it was a wedding to remember.
Deepika's cousin Amit Padukone, who also attended DeepVeer's dreamy wedding, later took to his Twitter page to pen a heartfelt note for the newly-weds. Here's what he had to share-

Deepika's cousin Amit welcomed Ranveer Singh to their family and tweeted, "Magical week, steeped purely in love. Deepika-Ranveer's Wedding Was Nothing Less Than A Fairy-Tale Romance
Deepika looked stunning in a red and gold Kanjeevaram ensemble while her groom Ranveer donned a white kurta and mundu (a traditional outfit for men). Their families wore color-coordinated outfits in white and gold.

Deepika-Ranveer's wedding followed all the typical south India rituals including the Kanya Aagman, which is the bride walking up to the mandap.
As Deepika walked up to the mandap, singer Shubha Mudgal performed live at the ceremony. After the wedding, the couple enjoyed a lunch in South Indian style where everyone sat down and savoured the food served on banana leaves.

A Sindhi Wedding Is On The Cards Today
After a Konkani-Brahmin wedding yesterday, the newly-weds will be exchanging wedding vows once again today as per Sindhi traditions.
