Cannes 2019: Mallika Sherawat Twirls In An Icy Blue Gown & We're All Hearts!

Mallika Sherawat who is a regular at the Cannes red carpet, is excited to walk the red carpet at the French Riviera. But before that, the actress took to her Instagram page to share her first look with her fans. Mallika posted a video where she is seen twirling in a beautiful icy blue gown.

While she is yet to be prepped and do her make-up and hair, we must say that she's looking quite beautiful. The actress is wearing a Tony Ward couture off-shoulder blue shimmery gown.

Last year, the actress had grabbed eyeballs at Cannes when she locked herself in a 12x8 feet small cage as a part of Free a Girl's Lock-Me-Up Campaign.

Speaking about it, Mallika had said, "It is my ninth year at Cannes and the festival is one of the most cogent platforms to raise the issue of child prostitution not just in India but across the world. Being locked in a cage, I wanted to drive home the imagery of how young girls who are being trafficked are trapped in a small 12x8 foot room. These innocent victims have to live and survive without any aid. There is a woman suffering abuse every minute with no hope of any change. So I thought of doing my bit and raising awareness about an issue which needs to become extinct at the earliest."

Apart from Mallika, other Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut and others will also be walking the red carpet at the French Riviera.

Deepika Padukone's red carpet appearance is on May 16, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be walking the red carpet on May 19, Sonam Kapoor on May 20 and 21, while Kangana Ranaut will feature at the festival on May 16-18. Diana Penty will also be making her red carpet debut this year.
