resigned
from
KWAN
Talent
Management
Agency
and
no
longer
represents
Bollywood
actress
Deepika
Padukone.
Since
reports
emerged
on
November
4,
the
agency
has
now
confirmed
the
news
with
an
official
statement.
Prakash
later
in
the
day
was
also
seen
arriving
at
the
Narcotics
Control
Bureau
(NCB)
office
in
Mumbai
at
12:15
pm.
"Karishma
Prakash
tendered
her
resignation
on
21st
of
October
with
immediate
effect
and
it
was
accepted.
She
now
has
nothing
to
do
with
KWAN
or
with
any
of
the
artists
that
the
agency
represents,
including
Deepika
Padukone.
The
ongoing
investigations
are
on
Karishma
Prakash
as
an
individual.
We
would
request
media
houses
and
reporters
to
incorporate
this
fact
while
reporting
on
this
issue,"
said

Subramaniam,
Co-Founder
and
Co-CEO
of
KWAN,
in
the
official
statement.
According
to
reports,
the
NCB
recently
had
issued
a
second
summons
to
Karishma
Prakash.
Earlier,
it
was
reported
that
summons
were
sent
to
her
parents' residence
as
well
as
to
KWAN,
but
she
did
not
appear
and
was
said
to
be
absconding.
Karishma
Prakash
Was
Reportedly
Untraceable
Karishma
Prakash's
name
emerged
more
than
once
in
the
drugs
case
probe
in
connection
with
actor
Sushant
Singh
Rajput's
death.
The
NCB
had
claimed
that
Karishma
was
untraceable.
It
was
reported
by
The
Indian
Express
that
the
NCB
searched
Prakash's
residence
on
October
27
and
found
1.7
grams
of
charas
and
three
vials
of
CBD
oil.
NCB
Sends
Summons
To
Her
Office
And
Residence
In
September
2020,
Deepika
Padukone
and
Karishma
Prakash
both
appeared
before
the
NCB
for
questioning.
Apart
from
the
two,
NCB
had
also
called
actresses
Shraddha
Kapoor,
Sara
Ali
Khan
and
Rakul
Preet
Singh
for
questioning
in
connection
with
the
drugs
case
in
Sushant's
death
probe.
All
the
actresses
had
voluntarily
submitted
their
phones
to
the
NCB
for
forensic
investigation.
Karishma
Appeared
At
The
NCB
Office
On
November
4
The
NCB
first
began investigation
after
the
Enforcement
Directorate
(ED)
found
some
alleged
chats
discussing
drugs,
while
investigating
actress
Rhea
Chakraborty
in
the
Sushant
death
case.
Reportedly,
the
Central
Bureau
of
Investigation
and
the
ED
are
still
probing
the
case.
