The statement by his spokesperson said, he was with his family at the time. Some of the Bollywood actors used the hashtag #wakandaforever while paying tribute to the late Hollywood star.

Bollywood Actor Anupam Kher tweeted saying, "Deeply saddened to know about the sad demise of #BlackPanther actor #ChadwickBoseman at such a young age. Apart from being a very fine actor, he was a humble man with an infectious smile. My condolences to his family, friends & fans! Folded hands #WakandaForever #OmShanti."

Farhan Akhtar retweeted a tweet from Boseman's team about the announcement of his demise and wrote, "RIP."

Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43 after battling cancer for four years. He is survived by his wife Simone Ledward and his brothers Kevin and Derrick.
