Alaya F To Play Kartik Aaryan's Leading Lady In Freddy?

Recently, it was announced that Kartik Aaryan has been roped in to play the main lead in Shashank Ghosh's upcoming romantic thriller Freddy. The shooting of this film bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani, has already commenced on August 1.

Now if the latest buzz in the tinsel town is to be believed, Alaya F who made her Bollywood debut with Saif Ali Khan-starrer Jawaani Janeeman, is likely to play Kartik's love interest in this film.

Citing a source, a report in ETimes stated that Alaya F is on board since Day 1 and a few modalities with her are being worked out before she signs on the dotted line. The report also stated that the actress has a meaty role in the film and she was quite pleased with Freddy was offered to her.

It is said Ekta Kapoor and Shashank Ghosh jointly chose Alaya as they both strongly felt that Alaya would fit the role to the T.

Speaking about Freddy, Kartik had earlier said that as an actor, he craves to explore different facades of entertainment and that with this film, he is venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures.

Coming back to Alaya, the actress had recently announced that she is all set to step into Shraddha Srinath's shoes for the Hindi remake of U-Turn.

In an interview with a tabloid, the actress had said that she wants to do different films and shock people with her choices. She was quoted as saying, "I want to do different films, shock people with my choices. Make them say, "wait, she's doing this also?!" Hopefully, I want to do it well. Post my debut, all sorts of stories have come my way, whether it's female-centric, extremely commercial or the edgier ones."

Well, we must say that Alaya F and Kartik would make for an interesting pair on screen!
