Alia Bhatt Felicitated With The Prestigious Smita Patil Memorial Award

It is a rare honour that a recipient gets as they are recognised for their unparalleled excellence and immense contribution to the world of cinema. Among the recipients of this great honour are Tabu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Priyanka Chopra, to name a few. The newest addition to the list is Alia Bhatt.

Currently, she is enjoying the success of Brahmastra Part One- Shiva in which she appeared with her beau Ranbir Kapoor. Hence, there is no denying the fact that the soon-to-be mom deserves the award for her memorable contributions to Indian cinema.

This year, the award recipients were felicitated in a virtual Priyadarshni ceremony by various Union Ministers on September 19. Sharing the news on her Instagram stories, Bhatt wrote, "Grateful and honoured to receive the Smita Patil Memorial Award. Thank You, everyone."

Alia will next be seen in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. She is also working on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh.
