Meanwhile, talking about the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam's much talked about Ponniyin Selvan 1. The historical action drama also featured Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, R. Parthiban and Lal in key roles. Talking about the movie, Aishwarya stated that reuniting with Mani Ratnam has always been a pleasure. "Mani is my guru and he is one of the most amazing and brilliant directors of our country. I've had the honour, privilege and joy of working with him right at the beginning of my career and several times later. It's an easy yes to work with that kind of cinematic brilliance," she added. Aishwarya will also be reportedly seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2 which is expected to release next year.
