passed
away
at
the
age
of
24.
The
cause
of
his
death
is
still
unknown.
Actors
Ranveer
Singh
and
Siddhant
Chaturvedi
took
to
their
respective
social
media
handles
to
condole
his
sudden
demise.
Ranveer
extended
his
condolences
by
sharing
a
picture
of
MC
Tod
Fod
along
with
a
broken
heart
emoticon.
On
the
other
hand,
Siddhant
posted
a
screenshot
of
his
conversation
with
the
late
rapper,
in
which
they
can
be
seen
lauding
each
other
for
their
music
and
performance.
He
captioned
it
as,
"RIP
bhai,"
along
with
a
broken-heart
emoji.
A
known
face
in
Mumbai's
underground
rap
circuit,
MC
Tod
Fod
was
associated
with
the
hip-hop
group
Swadesi.
The
latter
mourned
his
death
with
a
post
that
read,
"It
was
with
this
night
that
@todfod_
performed
his
last
ever
gig
at
Swadesi
Mela.
You
had
to
be
there
to
experience
it,
his
thrill
his
love
for
playing
live
music.
You
are
never
forgotten,
you
will
always
live
through
with
your
music."
According
to
a
report
in
Rolling
Stones
India,
the
late
rapper's
songs
had
the
underlying
theme
of
standing
up
against
'corrupt
institutions',
emnvironmental
and
human
rights.
He
had
last
teamed
up
with
Adivasi
activist
Prakash
Bhoir
for
a
track
titled
'Truth
and
Bass.'
In
2019,
MC
Tod
Fod
penned
a
verse
for
'India
91'
which
was
a
part
of
the
soundtrack
of
Ranveer
Singh-Siddhant
Chaturvedi's
Gully
Boy.
He
also
starred
in
the
2018
Vice
India
documentary
'Kya
Bolta
Bantai'
which
revolved
around
the
Gully
rap
scene
in
Mumbai.
The
rapper's
last
rites
were
performed
at
his
residence
in
Naigaon,
Mumbai
on
March
21.
