Singer KK Passes Away At The Age Of 53 In Kolkata

KK AKA Krishnakumar Kunnath, the celebrated Bollywood singer passed away. The 53-year-old breathed his last after performing at a concert at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. As per reports, the celebrated singer felt uneasy and collapsed after reaching his hotel. KK was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute immediately, where he was declared brought dead.

KK was born to Malayali parents CS Menon and Kunnath Kanakavalli, in Delhi. He is survived by his wife Jyothy Krishna, son Nakul Krishna Kunnath, and daughter Thamara Kunnath.

"Singer Anupam Roy called me up and said he is hearing something bad from the hospital. Then I contacted the hospital. They said he was brought dead. Then I rushed to the hospital," said Minister Arup Biswas who addressed the media after the singer's demise.

KK's fans and his colleagues from the film industry are completely devastated by the singer's untimely demise. The celebrated singer had posted the updates of his Kolkata concert actively on his social media handles, a few hours before his demise. KK's last video from the Koltaka concert is now going viral on the internet, and the music lovers are heartbroken to see his final performance.

Coming to his illustrious career, KK had carved a niche for himself with several popular numbers including 'Pal', 'Yaaron', 'Dil Ibaadat', 'Aankhon Main Teri', and so on. The supremely talented singer released his debut album Pal in 1999, and it went on to become a chartbuster. He has sung over 3000 jingles, before emerging as one of the most sought-after singers of Indian cinema in the 2000s. KK recorded songs in all major Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and others.
