National Film Awards 2023: Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon Win Best Actress Award For Gangubai Kathiawadi & Mimi

National Film Awards 2023 winner list: It's time to send congratulatory messages to Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon as they have bagged the Best Actress for their performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively at the 69th National Film Awards that were announced on Thursday (August 24). Both Alia and Kriti will always remember the day as they won their first Best Actress National Film Award.

ALIA BHATT WINS BEST ACTRESS, FANS SAY 'WELL-DESERVED'

While Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi released in the theatres in February 2022, Mimi premiered directly on a leading OTT platform in 2021. Both actresses had received an amazing response from the audience after their films released.

Alia Bhatt played the titular role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's biographical crime drama, which collected over Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office. Interestingly, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani actress has already won the Filmfare Award for her performance in the film.

KRITI SANON WINS NATIONAL FILM AWARD FOR BEST ACTRESS FOR MIMI

Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in Adipurush, trended on social media after she won her first National Film Award. She played the role of a surrogate in Mimi, which also starred Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar and Supriya Pathak in key roles. Pankaj Tripathi also won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Mimi.

Allu Arjun added another feather to his cap as he won Best Actor Award for Pushpa: The Rise.
