The story revolves around two characters, played by Bashir and Malhotra, who are suicide bombers. They bomb, blast, and kill people with a desire to receive 72 Hoorains (virgin girls) in heaven.
Taking to microblogging sites, netzines flooded the platform, expressing their views about the film. Many praised Pavan Malhotra's performance and called it powerful and dark.
Lauding the movie, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "You need a strong stomach to absorb this one... A gut-wrenching story of two terrorists/suicide bombers from across the border, it focuses on their dilemmas and inner conflicts."

Meanwhile, the film was not given the green light by the Censor board, and soon after the trailer was released, it was alleged to have hurt religious sentiments and been against Islam. Many politicians have also accused the film of distorting the image of the religion.
