According to News18, Ira and Nupur will get married at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra and will also host two receptions later. A close source to the Khan family told the outlet, "The Khan family is elated as they're going to start the new year with a bang."

It added, "Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra's plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place - one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur - between January 6 and 10."

Aamir Khan is excited about his daughter's wedding

Ira's father, Aamir Khan, is particularly excited about his daughter's marriage. He has been personally making calls to his industry friends and peers to grace the ceremony and bless the couple.

The source then added, "Most actors aren't in town due to the holiday season. But be assured that it's going to be a star-studded affair. Those who won't be able to make it to their big day will be a part of the reception in Jaipur."

Further, the report also mentioned that to honour Nupur's roots, the duo will have a Maharashtrian wedding, and the shopping is mostly happening at a popular store in Matunga, which is known for their traditional pieces and designs. The wedding menu is said to have a proper traditional Marthi spread.

When Aamir said he would cry at Ira's wedding

Speaking in an interview earlier, Aamir had stated that he is going to cry at Ira's wedding. "Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon, yeh toh tay hai. Discussions have already begun in the family that 'Aamir ko sambaalna uss din' because I'm very emotional. I can't control my smile nor my tears," he had said.
