Aamir Khan At Nitin Desai Funeral: Noted Bollywood art director Nitin Desai's untimely demise has left the film fraternity in shock. On August 2, it was reported that Desai's committed suicide at his ND studio in Karjat.

As per reports, Nitin Desai's studio was under financial stress as the studios owned by him were in debt of over Rs 200 crore. And hence, this could be the major reason behind his taking the drastic step. He was the brain behind the lavish and stunning sets of superhit films such as Lagaan, Jodha Akbar, and Devdas.

On Friday, August 4, his funeral was held at his studio, where celebrities including Aamir Khan, Sonali Kulkarni, Subodh Bhave, Manoj Joshi, Mukesh Rishi, and director Ashutosh Gowariker paid their last respects to the art director. Aamir also spoke about his death with the reporters and shared his thoughts on why there was a lower turnout of celebrities at the funeral.

When reporters approached Aamir at the funeral for a byte, he expressed disappointment over the unfortunate incident. Aamir said, "This is very shocking news. I am unable to understand how did this happen. I can't believe it. I wish he did not do this and reached out for help instead."

He added, "But what can we say in such a tragic situation, it is very difficult to understand what has happened. It is very sad...We have lost someone who was very talented." Let us tell you that Aamir and Nitin have worked in Lagaan.

Responding to why fewer Bollywood celebs turned out at his funeral, the actor said, "Shayad kuch log nahi aa paaye hoge, alag wajah se. I am sure sabke dil mein unke liye ek bahut hi khaas jagah hai. Unki family ko main dhairya rakhne ko kahuga."

Further, when reporters asked the Laal Singh Chaddha actor about why Bollywood didn't help Nitin with his financial troubles, he said, "Kisi ko pata hi nahi tha."

About Nitin Desai Death

Art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai, Wednesday morning of August 2 was found hanging at his studio. He was 58 and is survived by his wife, and three children.

According to an ETimes report, the police and initial autopsy report have ruled out suicide, and the case is being investigated. He had defaulted on a Rs 252-crore loan to its financial creditor, and last week, the bankruptcy court admitted an insolvency petition against his company.
