Rahul Roy Salman Khan: Actor Rahul Roy, who shot to fame with Mahesh Bhatt's Aashiqui in the 90s and became the nation's crush overnight. For the unversed, Rahul suffered a brain stroke in 2020 during the filming of LAC - Live the Battle in Kargil, Ladakh.

He was immediately airlifted to Wockhardt Hospitals, where he underwent brain and heart angiography. Subsequently, Rahul was transferred to the ICU at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai for further treatment. And now his soul sister, Priyanka Roy, revealed how Salman Khan helped Rahul financially and called him a "gem" of a person.

Recently, in an interview, Rahul and Priyanka revealed that the stroke could have been avoided if the film's director, Nitin Gupta, had been careful about the Aashiqui star's health condition. Priyanka also shared that Salman Khan helped them pay the pending medical bills.

Adding that it took a lot of time for Rahul to recover from the stroke, his sister Priyanka, while speaking to Bollywood Hungama, expressed gratitude to Salman Khan and said whatever bill was pending, he cleared it in February.

Further, she also mentioned that the LAC director too paid some money for the treatment, which was from Rahul's pending remuneration for the film. Pointing out that it was not enough, she went on to say: "He (Salman Khan) had called him (Rahul) and asked if he can help with anything and he literally helped and the bill is cleared now."

She added that the most beautiful thing about Salman is that he didn't speak about it in front of the media. "This is called really being with a person. This touched my heart. This man is a gem. I mean I didn't ask him, I could have asked," she shared.

She then said, "Somebody out of the whole crowd comes and asks in reality if you are actually in trouble and that's the biggest thing. This is called you are a star. Not just being a star in front of the camera."

Rahul added, "Salman k sath sab log boltein hai woh aisa hai, woh waisa hai, but for me, he is a good person." Priyanka added that Rahul's health is fine now.

Meanwhile, Rahul Roy starrer Agra, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. The film is directed by Kanu Behl. He was also seen in the Zee5 film Cabaret.
