On
Adipurush
Controversy:
Adipurush
directed
by
Om
Raut,
and
starring
Prabhas
and
Kriti
Sanon
has
received
backlash
since
its
release.
Touted
as
modern-day
Ramayana,
the
film
is
widely
criticized
for
hurting
religious
sentiments.
Mukesh
Khanna
has
joined
the
list
of
celebs
who
have
expressed
their
anger
over
the
film.
Known
for
his
stint
in
Shaktimaan
&
Mahabharat,
Mukesh
Khanna
slammed
the
maker
of
the
film,
Om
Raut,
and
even
called
out
writer
Manoj
Muntashir
for
the
kind
of
dialogue
he
has
written
for
the
Prabhas
and
Kriti
Sanon
starrer.
MUKESH
KHANNA
EXPRESSES
HIS
VIEWS
ON
ADIPURUSH
Mukesh
Khanna
in
YouTube
vlog,
slammed
Adipurush
and
said," There
is
no
bigger
disrespect
to
the
Ramayana
than
Adipurush.
Om
Raut
seems
to
have
no
knowledge
of
the
Ramayana,
and
on
top
of
that,
we
have
the
great
Buddhajeevi
writer
Manoj
Muntashir
Shukla,
who
has
turned
our
Ramayana
into
Kalyug.
His
nonsensical
dialogue
and
sleep-inducing
screenplay
have
created
a
film
that
can
make
even
sleeping
pills
blush.
This
film
has
no
relation
to
any
of
the
Ramayanas
ever
written."
The
Shaktimaan
star
further
added
that
history
will
never
forget
or
forgive
what
Om
Raut
did
with
the
Ramayana:
"It's
clear
after
watching
the
film
that
Raut
is
influenced
by
Hollywood
filmmaking,
and
inspired
by
that,
he
has
stuffed
this
Ramayana
with
nuisance.
You
could
have
made
a
fictional
film
if
you
wanted
to
take
cinematic
liberties.
But
you
played
with
the
images
of
gods,
and
hence,
Adipurush
is
a
'bhayanak
mazaak'
(a
dangerous
joke)
with
the
Ramayana."
