Adipurush Controversy: Makers Of Prabhas’ Film Decide To Change Dialogues Amid Huge Backlash

Adipurush Controversy: The release of the film Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon, received a mixed to negative response from both critics and the general public. In light of the backlash the film has been facing due to its dialogue, the makers have decided to modify the controversial lines.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush had a grand release on June 16. However, after the first show, netizens expressed their discontent with the lines spoken by Bajrang (Devdutta Nage) to Indrajeet (Vatsal Sheth) during the Lanka Dahan scene.

ADIPURUSH MAKERS TO CHANGE CONTROVERSIAL DIALOGUES

Bajrang's response, "Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, jalegi bhi baap ki," and a few other lines received significant criticism from netizens, leading them to criticize the director Om and writer Manoj Muntashir.

Realizing that they have offended the sentiments of the audience, the makers have taken a step to address the issue. T-Series' official spokesperson released a statement stating, "Making this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience, the team decides to make alterations to the film's dialogues -Valuing the input of the public and the audience."

The statement further elaborated, "The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theatres in the next few days. This decision is a testament that in spite of unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large."

MOVIEGOERS IRKED WITH PRABHAS & SAIF'S PORTRAYAL OF RAM & RAVAN

In addition to the controversial dialogue, the film's poor visual effects and the portrayal of Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan) and Raghav (Prabhas) have disappointed a section of moviegoers. On Saturday, Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir defended his dialogues, stating that a careful thought process had gone into writing them. However, on Sunday, he apologized for taking creative liberties in the film and announced the forthcoming changes.

The makers of Adipurush have taken the audience's feedback seriously and are committed to addressing the concerns raised. By modifying the dialogues, they aim to ensure a more harmonious cinematic experience that resonates with the essence of the film.
