Aditya Pancholi Relieved With Sooraj Pancholi’s Acquittal In Jiah Khan’s Death Case: We Had Faith In Judiciary

In what came as the big news of the day, Sooraj Pancholi, who was the main accused in Jiah Khan's death case, has all the reasons to take a sigh of relief. After all, Sooraj has been acquitted in this much talked about case and it has undoubtedly come as a sigh of relief for the Pancholis.

For the uninitiated, the verdict came after almost a decade of Jiah's demise and it wasn't an easy journey for Sooraj. The actor, who was said to be dating Jiah at the time of her demise, was charged with abetment to suicide in a chargesheet filed by the CBI. And while the trial has been going on since 2019, Sooraj managed to walk in as a free man today.

Expressing his relief, Aditya Pancholi has expressed his faith in the Indian judiciary. Talking to India Today, the actor stated, "We are very grateful to the judiciary, the law of this country and very grateful to God. We all had faith in God and faith in judiciary". While he refused to speak about the allegations levelled against him, Aditya added, "Today our family received a very big relief".

Furthermore, Aditya Pancholi also expressed his gratitude towards everyone who supported them during this tough time. On the other hand, Sooraj got emotional about his acquittal and said, "The verdict has taken 10 long painful years and sleepless nights, But today I have not only won this case against me but I have also won my dignity and confidence back".

Talking about Jiah Khan's death case, the actress was found dead in her Mumbai flat on June 3, 2013, and later a six page suicide note was found in her residence. While Sooraj was arrested by the cops, he was released on bail. This was followed by Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan demanding to transfer the case to CBI.
