Met Gala 2023: Over the years, India has taken an esteemed spot at the prestigious fashion event Met Gala. Several Bollywood celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Natasha Poonawala, Sudha Reddy, and Isha Ambani have represented the country at the global platform. Now joining the list of celebs at the infamous Met steps will be the new Bollywood mommy, Alia Bhatt.

Alia Bhatt is all set to take make her big Hollywood debut this year with Netfilx's thriller Heart Of Stone. And it is being reported that she will be representing India at the gala event sent to place on May 1, 2023. For the event, Alia is donn an outfit from the shelves of Nepalese-American fashion designer, Prabal Gurung.

Alia Bhatt had a phenomenal 2022. Her films, Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR received accolades from all quarters. The actress and her husband Ranbir Kapoor were blessed with a daughter, who they have named, Raha kapoor.

Now, big Bollywood and Hollywood releases in her hand, and also now that Met Gala is happening, 2023, will also be an illustirius year for the actress.

The details about Alia Bhatt's debut was shared by Elle India. Their official Instagram handle shared a picture of Alia Bhatt informing her debut on the red carpet of the fashion event. The caption read, "Ahead of her international debut with Netflix's Heart of Stone, @aliaabhatt will be gracing the Met Gala carpet for the very first time in a @prabalgurung creation. Set to take place on the 1st of May, the fashion event will honour the timeless legacy of ace designer Karl Lagerfeld at the Metropolitan Museum of Art."

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra made their Met Gala debut in the year, 2017. While Deepika opted for designer Prabal Gurung, Priyanka was dressed in Ralph Lauren.
