‘He Should Be Hanged’: Akanksha Dubey’s Mother Demands Justice; Claims Samar Singh Killed Her Daughter

Akanksha Dubey Suicide: Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found hanging in a hotel room in Varanasi on March 26, 2023. The 25-year-old actress was in the city for the shoot of an upcoming project, Laik Hoon Main Nalaik Nahin. Her death came as a shock to the Bhojpuri film fraternity.

While police did not recover any suicide notes from the room, Akanksha's mother accused Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his brother of the actress's death. Akanksha's mother, Madhu Dubey held Akanksha's alleged boyfriend Samar Singh and his Sanjay Singh for threatening his daughter. Police booked both of them for abetment to suicide and other relevant sections, however, could not arrest them as the singer was absconding.

Now, in the latest development, Samar Singh has been arrested from Ghaziabad. Media reports suggest that the Bhojpuri singer was planning to fly abroad. After knowing this, the police informed all the airport authorities to not let him leave the country. A report in India Today states that the Varanasi police have produced Akanksha's rumored boyfriend to the CJM court and have sought 24 hours transit remand.

AKANKSHA'S MOTHER MADHU DUBEY DEMANDS JUSTICE

After Samar Singh's arrest, Akanksha Dubey's mother, Madhu Dubey during an interview with Aaj Tak TV said that "Samar Singh used to torture my daughter. He claimed he was his friend. So, if he was his friend, why did he run away? He stole my little girl."

She further added that her daughter worked with him for three years but she was not paid. And when she wanted to work somewhere else, he would not let her go. "He tortured my Rani for three years, he didn't let her work for anyone else," Madhu added.

Madhu said that her daughter once told her that Samar used to beat her. Madhu asked her to file a police complaint, which she refused as she was worried about his image. Madhu further claimed that on March 23, Samar and his brother Sanjay had threatened her daughter. And on the next day, she committed suicide.

Madhu further said, "My request to the police is that he should get the same treatment as he did by killing my daughter. He should be hanged."
