Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey is no more with us. The 25 year old actress had died by suicide and was found dead in a hotel room in Varanasi wherein she was shooting for her upcoming project Nayak. The news of her demise has sent a wave of shock and sadness across her fans who have been sharing condolence posts on social media. And while cops are investigating the matter, did you know that Akanksha was once battling depression and wanted to quit the showbiz industry?

The actress made the revelation in an interview in 2018. According to Navbharat Times, Akanksha stated that while she had entered the Bhojpuri industry at the age of 17, constant rejection in the industry left her disheartened. She even asserted that she battled depression and even thought of quitting the industry owing to her mental health. However, it was her mother who helped her get a hold of herself following which she went on to make a strong comeback and won millions of her hearts with her performance. She went on to work with stars like Pawan Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, etc

In fact, Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh even penned a heartfelt note for the late actress and wrote, "बड़े शौक से सुन रहा था ज़माना तुम्हीं सो गये दास्ताँ कहते कहते............
भगवान आप की आत्मा को अपने चरणों में स्थान दें ओम शांति... (Bade shaunk se sun raha tha zamana, tum hi so gaye daastaan kehte kehte..... Bhagwaan aap ki aatma ko apne charnon me staan de om shaanti)".

For the uninitiated, Akanksha was last seen in Pawan Singh's recent song Ye Aara Kabhi Hara Nahi which was released early this morning. She had also wrapped the shooting of Chandan Upadhay's directorial Mitti which also stars Raksha Gupta and Yash Kumar in the lead.
