Akshay Kumar Takes A Dig At CBFC Over OMG 2’s A Certificate

Akshay Kumar On OMG 2's A Certificate: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has taken a sly dig at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over the A certificate granted to his OMG 2. The actor's comment came during a movie screening and has since gone viral on social media.

OMG 2, which stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead hit the screens on August 11 amid massive buzz and excitement. The film, which deals with the theme of sex education, has been praised for its bold approach and thought-provoking narrative.

OMG 2 was released in theaters alongside Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which has flared well at the box office. While, Akshay Kumar witnessed a slow start, gained momentum, and witnessed a 40% jump in its second-day collection. The film is now poised for a lucrative Independence Day haul.

AKSHAY KUMAR REACTS TO OMG 2'S 'A' CERTIFICATE

Interestingly, OMG 2 explores the realm of sex education while interweaving themes of divinity and faith into its storyline. The movie underwent several revisions and ultimately received an A rating from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) to ensure the preservation of viewers' sentiments.

Akshay Kumar addressed this during a screening of the film in Mumbai. In a video shared on Viacom18's official Instagram account, Akshay Kumar can be seen addressing a crowd of enthusiastic fans. He humorously quipped, "Kamaal ki baat bataun, pehli adult film hai joh teenagers ke liye bani hai. Actually yeh sab school main dikhana chahiye" (Let me tell you something interesting - this is the first adult film made for teenagers. Actually, this should be shown in schools).
