Speaking to The Indian Express earlier in an interview, Alaya opened up about nepotism and said that there are levels to it. She shared, "I do come from privilege and that's half of someone else's journey. It does get me into rooms but it doesn't really guarantee me movies. But reaching there is the hardest part."

She further added, "While I won't deny the access, it's the merit that takes one ahead. You may agree or disagree, I am a nepo baby but it's unfair to base everything I do to put it on where I come from. I have tried so hard to do much more and continuously do good work."

Alaya is stepping into different roles in her films one after the other and is garnering immense love from the audience. On the work front, she will be next seen in 'Sri' opposite Rajkummar Rao, and a few more films that are unannounced.

She was last seen in U-Turn and will also be seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar.
