It was in November last year; the reports emerged that Malaika is pregnant with Arjun Kapoor's child. It was also alleged that the couple had announced their pregnancy to their close ones during their visit to London. But the reports were rubbished by the Ishaqzaade star.

In a recent report, Arjun Kapoor has once again spoken up on the entire episode and even shared how the rumors affected them.

ARJUN KAPOOR REACTS TO MALAIKA'S PREGNANCY RUMOURS

Arjun Kapoor during an interview with Bollywood Bubble.com, addressed Malaika's false pregnancy rumours, and said, "Negativity is easier to do. I think it gets people to pay attention because that's been building for a while. Listen, we are actors, our personal life is not always very private. There is a certain amount that exists and you have to be okay with it already joining the profession."

The actor added, "There might be that element that remains but I think we rely on you all to reach the audience. We need you all to be at least cognizant of the fact that we are human beings. So, check with us once in a while if you're going to write something that is very very important. At least do that much and I think that was all that I did. It was more about that it should be checked; it should not be assumed. You should not put something that can be life-altering out there."

Meanwhile, Arjun and Malaika have been reportedly dating each other for over five years now. The couple made their relationship official in 2019 after keeping the news under wraps for quite some time. When Arjun made a stint on Koffee with Karan, he shared why they didn't make their relationship public immediately.

The actor said, "It is my choice to be with her, but I cannot expect everyone to understand. It has to be allowed to grow. I cannot expect everyone to understand easily. Darja dena padta hai, and I had to ease everyone into it including the public eye. It's not that we didn't talk about it as a couple. But there are baby steps. There is a basic understanding that she has had a life, she has a son, and I'm coming from a past that is aware of that."
