Friday,
November
24.
He
was
93
years
old.
He
suffered
a
heart
attack
in
the
morning
and
succumbed
to
it
shortly
afterward.
A
funeral
is
scheduled
for
later
in
the
evening.

father

actor

Boss
fame
Armaan
Kohli.
Publicist
and
close
friend
of
Arman,
Vijay
Grover,
confirmed
Raj
Kumar's
demise
and
revealed
that
his
last
rites
will
be
held
on
Friday.
According
to
a
report
by
News18,
the
senior
producer
went
to
take
a
shower
on
Friday
morning
but
did
not
come
out
of
the
bathroom.
Reportedly,
his
son
Armaan
broke
the
door
and
found
his
father
on
the
floor.
Rajkumar
was
then
rushed
to
a
hospital,
where
he
was
later
declared
dead.
Rajkumar
Kohli
was
born
in
1930,
started
his
film
journey
in
the
1960s
with
the
1963
release
Sapni,
and
directed
the
Punjabi
film
Dulla
Bhatti
in
1966.
He
then
had
moderate
successes
in
the
Hindi
film
industry
with
films
such
as
Lootera
(1970)
and
Kahani
Hum
Sab
Ki
(1973).
But
his
breakthrough
came
in
1976
with
the
multi-starrer
superhit
Nagin,
which
was
followed
by
another
multi-starrer
1979
horror
movie,
Jaani
Dhushman,
considered
India's
first
horror
hit.
His
other
notable
works
include
Badle
Ki
Aag,
Naukar
Biwi
Ka,
and
Raaj
Tilak
(1984).
He
worked
with
superstars
like
Sunil
Dutt,
Dharmendra,
Jeetendra,
and
Shatrughan
Sinha.
Kohli
made
several
films
for
his
son,
Armaan
Armaan
Kohli
debuted
in
his
father's
1992
movie
Virodhi.
He
directed
him
again
in
Aulad
Ke
Dushman
(1993)
and
Qahar
(1997).
He
also
made
2002's
Jaani
Dushman:
Ek
Anokhi
Kahani,
which
featured
Sunny
Deol
and
Akshay
Kumar,
among
others.
