When asked about the response his film got, Ayush said, "It was one of the best feelings when I was in TIFF. I got so much love for my debut and so much appreciation. The film was loved so much. So it just makes you feel good makes you feel validated. That is something which you got it, like a little reward for. So I'm very happy about it."

Reacting to Kacchey Limbu being screened at the prestigious international festival TIFF and if he feels that he has arrived at the moment, the actor shared, "I still don't feel I've arrived, but it feels very nice. Honestly, I never thought that my first film, my debut film, would make me go to the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF), because I had only heard of that festival.

Recalling attending the festival and meeting his favourite international stars, Mehra said, "Your first film only took you there, and I met so many people there, like Hugh Jackman, Ben Kingsley, Damien Chazelle, and Shekhar Kapoor. It was one of the best experiences I had. I'm so glad and grateful that I debuted with Kacheey Limbu, because prior to that, I did get a lot of filmstuff, but I did not want to do it because I didn't think it's the right film to start with. But I'm so glad Kacheey Limbu happened, and I started with that film as a film actor's journey."

Talking about Kacchey Limbu, the film is directed by Shubham Yogi and is currently streaming on Jio Cinema. The film's story revolves around an ambitious young girl from a stereotypical family who competes in a cricket tournament against her brother's team and desires to be a professional cricketer.
