Aparshakti Khurrana Gets Emotional As Brother Ayushmann Khurrana Performs Father Pandit P Khurrana’s Last Rite

Ayushmann Khurrana has been making the headlines for the most unfortunate reason as his father Pandit P Khurrana breathed his last on May 19. According to media reports, he wasn't keeping well for a while and was battling a heart ailment. The media reports suggested that he was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali a couple of days ago after he had suffered a heart attack.

Reportedly, Ayushmann's father was kept on a ventilator until this morning. Needless to say, it is a heartbreaking moment for the Khurranas. It was reported that Pandit P Khurrana's last rites will be held at Manimajra cremation ground at 5.30 pm.

To note, the late astrologer's last rites were performed by Ayushmann Khurrana. On the other hand, the Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan actor's younger brother Aparshakti Khurana was seen getting emotional during their father's last rites.

For the uninitiated, Ayushmann and Aparshakti were quite close to their father. In fact, during one of his interview with ETimes, Aparshakti spoke about his relationship with his father and said, "The relationship with my father is quite friendly now. I think till the time Ayushmann and I were in college, and the first few years of our professional lives, he was very strict with us. The moment he saw that we were serious with our work, he got very friendly with us and stopped scolding us for little things or interfering in our matters".

He also asserted that Pandit P Khurrana was more strict with him than he was with Ayushmann. He also emphasised that all his work ethics come from his father. "All the discipline that Ayushmann and I are trying to follow at work comes from him," he added.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann had also revealed how his father was more ambitious about him and had encouraged him to pursue acting soon after he completed college.
