Ayushmann Khurrana’s Father Pandit P Khurrana Passes Away Due To A Prolonged Incurable Ailment

In a very heartbreaking news from tinselvile, Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana's father Pandit P Khurrana passed away in Mohali today. For the uninitiated, Pandit P Khurrana was a renowned astrologer as well and was said to be battling heart disease for a while.

Confirming the news of his demise, Ayushmann Khurrana's family have released an official statement and revealed that he passed away due to prolonged incurable ailment. According to media reports, he was admitted in Fortis Hospital lately after he suffered a heart attack and was on ventilator until this morning.

"It's with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana's father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30 am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss," the statement read.

The media reports also suggested that Ayushmann Khurrana's father's last rites will be held at Manimajra cremation ground at 5.30 pm.

Earlier, Ayushmann had spoken about his father and called him his life coach and mentor. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan actor had revealed how his father had pushed him to become an actor and was very ambitious for him.

"I remember, straight out of college, my father was the one who pushed me. I was very laidback, but he was very ambitious for me. He packed my bags and booked my tickets. I was thrown out, and he said, 'Jao actor banne jao, bahut ho gaya. Chandigarh main dera dalke baitha hai' (Go and become an actor. Why have you made Chandigarh your base)," Ayushmann Khurrana was quoted saying.

Undoubtedly, it is a tough time for both Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana as they both were very close to Pandit P Khurrana.
