Director Nandita Roy, who has been vigorously promoting her upcoming film Fatafati, was admitted to a hospital following a high fever. The director has been taking treatment for fever for the last three days.

According to the available details, Nandita Roy has been busy of late as she also co-produced Fatafati, in addition to directing it, along with Shiboprasad Mukherjee's production company. During the premiere of Aritra Mukherjee's film at a South Kolkata cinema hall, Nandita was missing in action. Her absence gave rise to several speculations about her health.

Although Nandita Roy has been doing better than before, she was kept under observation in the hospital. Meanwhile, the movie which premiered, starring Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee, has been receiving positive reviews.

Most of her movies were directed by Nandita are mostly with her co-director Shiboprasad Mukherjee. They directed notable films like Accident, Muktodhara, Alik Suk, Ramdhanu, Bela Seshe, Haami, Praktan, Posto, Konntho, and Gotro.

Having worked with several renowned filmmakers, Nandita Roy, who is now 68, was born in Mumbai and made her debut in 2011 with Icche. She got married to Nitish Roy, an art director and costumes designer in 1977. After involving herself in films entirely, she moved to Kolkata, where she is living with her family.

Nandita Roy began her film career in 1978 as a glove-puppet operator and co-director of Agadoom-Bagadoom, a short puppet film for children. She focused on concentrating on a solid resume by working with several directors as their assistants in filmmaking, editing, set dressing, research, and script writing.

She later moved to ETV Network's television and created 19 original non-fiction programs. She also founded the first Bengali Women's magazine titled Sreemoti.
