Nisha Upadhyay Suffers Bullet Injury: A Bhojpuri singer Nisha Upadhyay, suffered a bullet injury during a celebratory firing in Bihar's Saran. The firing took place when she was performing at a cultural event, Yagnopavit.

Nisha who hails from Patna regularly performs at cultural ceremonies and Yagnopavit is one such ceremony that is performed among the Brahmans in which they wear the sacred thread. Saran comes under Janata Bazaar police station limits.

It was reported that the bullet hit Nisha Upadhyay's left thigh when she was performing on stage and some people at the program opened fire. Nisha was rushed to Max Hospital, Patna. Her condition is said to be stable now.

A police officer shared the information related to the incident and said, "We received information about the incident, but no written complaint has been filed yet. We are investigating how the gunshots were fired and who were all involved in the firing."

Nisha Upadhayay is a renowned Bhojpuri singer and she is a resident of Gaur Basant village in Saran district. She lives in Patna. The Bihar government has proposed cancelling licences in a bid to curb the celebratory firing menace.
