Bholaa Box-Office Collection Day 3: Ajay Devgn’s Film Sees Huge Gains; Rakes In Big Moolah On Saturday

Bholaa Box-Office Collection: After tasting success with Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn returned to the big screen with his fourth directorial, Bholaa. The action-thriller, mass entertainer film is the official Hindi remake of the superhit Tamil film, Kaithi starring Karthi. The film was released in theaters on the eve of Ram Navami on March 30 to receive aid at the box-office collection.
BHOLAA DAY 1 AND DAY 2 BUSINESS AT DOMESTIC TICKET WINDOW
The film which also stars Tabu as the female lead started on a good note. Bholaa opened in double digits and minted around 11.20 at the domestic ticket window.

However, on Day 2, the numbers dropped drastically, which was quite predictable, as Friday was a working day after a holiday. The film grossed 7.40 crores on Day 2. With this, the film's two days total stood at 18.60 crores (India).
In his tweet, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, "#Bholaa slips on Day 2... The decline was on the cards, since Thu was the #RamNavmi holiday, while Fri was a working day... Thu 11.20 cr, Fri 7.40 cr. Total: ₹ 18.60 cr. #India biz.
#Bholaa needs to cover lost ground on Sat and Sun... Biz on Sat should witness an upturn, with bigger circuits giving the film that extra push.
The holy month of #Ramadan [a big chunk of the movie-going audience stays away from cinemas] and commencement of #IPL2023 have made a dent in its biz, but if the film sustains, after the weekend, the holiday period ahead [summer vacations] can prove advantageous."
BHOLAA DAY 3 COLLECTION AT THE BOX-OFFICE
After underperforming on Day 2, Bholaa covered the lost ground on Day 3. As early trends flowed in, the film surprised everyone with its collection, even surpassing the earning of Day 1.
A report in industry tracker Sacnilk suggests that the Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer collected around 12 crores at the box office on its first Saturday. With this, the gains should come in at 50-60% which is good and now the three-day total stands at 27 crore nett plus.
The reports further stated that the growth on Saturday came largely from the bigger multiplexes with the 3D prints, which showed good occupancy. However, Sunday is all about the mass and the growth will largely depend on how the Hindi circuits are performing.
The report further states, "On average, the film should be targeting a 40-crore nett weekend, but it depends if Sunday can push or will Ramazan again come in the way."
