Bholaa Day 1 Box-Office Collection: Ajay Devgn-Tabu Starrer Sees A ‘Healthy’ Footfall; Sets Up A Decent Score

Bholaa Day 1 Box Office Collection: After a massive hit with Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn has returned to the big screens with the mass entertainer, Bholaa. The official Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil film, Kaithi, Bholaa hit the theaters on March 30 amidst rave reviews from critics and viewers alike.

The film which marks the fourth directorial of Ajay Devgn opened on double-digit numbers. It witnessed a healthy footfall on day 1 at the ticket window. While the morning shows started with comparatively low occupancy, the afternoon and evening shows witnessed a jump given the premise of the movie and the partial holiday due to Ram Navami.

Earlier today, trade expert Taran Adarsh shared the first-day collection of the Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer film. He took to Twitter and wrote, "#Bholaa puts up a decent score on Day 1 [#RamNavmi]... Healthy footfalls during spot bookings - towards evening shows specifically - compensate for the low turnout in morning + noon shows... Thu ₹ 11.20 cr. #India biz.
Day 1 biz tilts more towards mass centres, with #Mumbai remaining low... Needs to gather pace over the weekend for a respectable total. "

While the opening day business is decent, the film was expected to mint more considering the exemplary cast line-up as well as the budget of the film. Now, it is being said that the Friday collections will see a drop. However, the business is again expected to see a rise from the Friday evening shows, considering the positive word of mouth which is expected to translate to numbers as the long weekend begins.

Earlier speaking exclusively to Filmibeat, film producer and business expert Girish Johar had said, "If the film opens with a double digit anywhere around 10, 11, or 12 crores, that will be a comfortable step or a foothold in the box office door. So that it has a good, long run at the box office. It can build upon there. Further, any number higher than 10-12 is brilliant. But if it's anywhere around ten to twelve crore on day one, I think it's a good start."
