Bholaa Day 1 Collection: KRK Takes A Dig At Ajay Devgn’s Film’s BO Report; Says, ‘Chatukarita Karne Se Koi…’

Bholaa Day 1 Collection: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn's highly anticipated film, Bholaa, hit the theaters on April 30 amid rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. The film that marks the smashing return of the actor to the big screen after Drishyam 2 was well received by the audience on the first day. While the film could not beat the day 1 collection of Drishyam 2, it opened on decent numbers at the ticket window.

KRK SHARES THE BOX-OFFICE REPORT OF AJAY DEVGN STARRER BHOLAA

While a report in Sacnilk suggested that the film earned approximately Rs 11 crores on Day 1, Kamaal R Khan aka KRK tweeted that the film earned 9 crores on Day 1 at the box office.

The self-proclaimed critic took to Twitter to post the collection report and wrote, "Day1 All Indian net business of film #Bholaa is approx Rs.9CR. Complete details will be given in the morning. Just remember that this business is happened because of holiday. While Ajay Devgan was expecting ₹30Cr opening, which can happen in his dream only.

He further called out actors Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar for doing 'chatukarita' and said, "Akshay Kumar's #Selfiee got opening of ₹2Cr and #AjayDevgn's #Bholaa got opening of ₹9Cr after doing full Chatukarita. While @iamsrk #Pathaan got opening of ₹57Cr without getting scared of #BoycottGang #VHP #BajrangDal etc. It's proof dat Chatukarita can't make any1 superstar."

Earlier, the Deshdrohi actor had said that he won't review Ajay Devgn's film but later reviewed it as he claimed the netizens started assuming that he had taken money from the Drishyam actor. Upon the review, he called Bholaa, a 'Bhojpuri comedy film'. He added that it should have been named The Truck In UP.

One of tweets about the film read, "I salute @ajaydevgn for making a brilliant Bhojpuri comedy film #Bholaa. The name of the film should be #TheTruckInUP instead of #Bholaa. Ajay has done a crime of wasting ₹200Cr, So he must apologise officially. I give 0* to this nonsense and torture of 2.5 hours. #AaaThoo!".

For the uninitiated, Bholaa is the official Hindi remake Tamil superhit film of 2019, Kaithi. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kaithi starred Karthi as the lead. Meanwhile, Bholaa sees Ajay Devgn donning the director's hat along with headlining the film, the action-thriller also stars Tabu in the lead.
