Kapoor
On
Sridevi's
Death:
Legendary
actress
Sridevi's
untimely
death
in
2018
not
only
shocked
the
entertainment
industry
but
also
left
the
entire
nation
in
mourning.
At
the
time
of
her
death,
she
was
in
Dubai,
and
her
body
was
recovered
from
a
bathtub
in
a
hotel.
Though
it
was
reported
that
she
died
of
drowning,
her
fans
couldn't
believe
it,
and
several
conspiracy
theories
around
her
demise
started
doing
the
rounds.
All
these
years,
his
husband
and
filmmaker
Boney
Kapoor
maintained
a
reticence
about
the
heartbreaking
loss
of
his
wife
and
the
actress.
However,
Boney
has
finally
broken
his
silence
on
her
death
and
the
label
of
murdering
Sridevi.
He
also
revealed
that
Sridevi
used
to
adhere
to
extremely
strict
diets,
which
sometimes
resulted
in
blackouts.
Boney
Kapoor
finally
speaks
up
on
claims
of
killing
Sridevi
Speaking
to
The
New
Indian,
filmmaker
Boney
Kapoor
spoke
about
her
accusations
against
him,
"It
was
not
a
natural
death;
it
was
an
accidental
death.
I
had
decided
not
to
speak
about
it
because
I
spoke
about
it
for
almost
24
or
48
hours
together
when
I
was
being
investigated
and
interrogated.
In
fact,
the
officers
said
we
had
to
go
through
this
because
there
was
a
lot
of
pressure
from
Indian
media.
And
they
discovered
there
was
no
foul
play.
I
went
through
all
the
tests,
including
lie
detector
tests
and
all
those
things.
And
then,
of
course,
the
report
which
came,
clearly
stated
it
was
accidental."
He
further
revealed
that
Sridevi's
health
was
influenced
by
her
crash
diet.
"She
often
used
to
starve;
she
wanted
to
look
good.
She
wanted
to
make
sure
she
was
in
good
shape,
so
that
on-screen,
she
looked
good.
From
the
time
she
was
married
to
me,
she
had
blackouts
on
a
couple
of
occasions,
and
the
doctor
kept
on
saying
she
had
a
low
BP
issue," she
shared.
He
also
added
that
Sridevi
had
come
down
to
46-47
kg
in
the
past,
citing
her
weight
in
films
like
English
Vinglish.
He
also
said
that
the
veteran
actress
used
to
avoid
salt.
Boney
claimed
that
he
learned
about
Sridevi's
diet
after
their
marriage.
Sharing
an
incident
when
actor
Nagarjuna
told
him
of
experiencing
something
similar
with
Sridevi.
"It
was
unfortunate.
Later
when
she
passed
away.
Nagarjuna
had
come
home
to
offer
his
condolences,
and
he
told
me
that
during
one
of
her
movies,
she
was
again
on
a
crash
diet,
and
that's
how
she
fell
in
the
bathroom
and
broke
her
teeth."
Sridevi
is
survived
by
husband
Boney
Kapoor
and
their
two
daughters
Janhvi
Kapoor
and
Khushi
Kapoor.
