Urvashi Rautela's Crocodile Neckpiece At Cannes: Urvashi Rautela turned heads on the red carpet of Cannes 2023 with her extravagant style statement. Be it her crocodile neckpiece or the ink-blue lips, Urvashi grabbed eyeballs right from her first appearance at the film festival.

For Day 1, Urvashi sported a larger-than-life pink tulle gown from Sima Couture that featured tiered layers of ruffles, that she accessorized with a Cartier neckpiece featuring two intertwined alligators.

Her statement jewelry sparked a meme fest on the internet, which miffed the actress and she hit back. It was also reported that the necklace, featuring diamonds and emeralds costs a whopping ₹200 crores.

In the latest turn of events, a jewelry expert has called the much-talked-about necklace 'fake'. She called out the actress as well as her team claiming that the necklace was just a copy of the Cartier crocodile neckpiece.

Arundhati De-Sheth, a jewellery expert took to her social media stories and called out Urvashi for wearing a fake neckpiece to Cannes Film Festival. The first post contained a video that shows Urvashi flaunting the neckpiece. De wrote, "I am hugely confused by this look in general. However, all personal feelings aside, is she wearing the original @cartier Maria Felix crocodile necklace (sic)?!" Beneath the video, she added, "And, who is the maker of the earrings? Clarification desperately needed! Won't get sleep (sic)."

Arundhati shared pictures of original pieces in another post, writing, "Going to Cannes in France. Home of @cartier- Then wearing a poor shoddy sad ugly copy of a historic piece. Allegedly representing our nation and pretending to be wearing the real thing. When it's been hastily crafted in the back of beyond. Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela expressed her thoughts on the necklace by Cartier and stated, "It is one of my favourites and I absolutely love it. It has got a lot of history behind it. It is something of a signature. I believe that when you are in Cannes and being a very proud Indian, I feel that there has to be something signature, something very different. I absolutely love the design, and the diamonds on it. It is something worth it."
