For the uninitiated, Bihar Diwas or Bihar Day is observed every year on March 22, marking the formation of the state of Bihar. It was on this day when the British carved out the state from Bengal in 1912. On the other hand, Chhath is an ancient Hindu festival historically native to southern Nepal and eastern India, more specifically the Indian states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Like Navratri, Chhath is also celebrated twice a year. This festival is celebrated for 4 days; this year, Chaiti Chhath Puja starts on March 25 and ends on March 28.
