Sushant Singh Rajput: As India celebrates the remarkable achievement of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the nation couldn't help but recall Sushant Singh Rajput and his unfulfilled dream of space exploration.

Sushant Singh Rajput's affinity for space and astronomy was well-known, so when Chandrayaan-3 made its successful landing on the moon's surface, the fans of the late star started trending him again on social media.

SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT'S SHELVED FILM 'CHANDA MAMA DOOR KE'

Back in 2018, Sushant had also signed a now-shelved film, Chanda Mama Door Ke. The actor left the world with several unfulfilled dreams and to play an astronaut was one of them. He often talked about it during events.

The mega-budget film, which was to be directed by Sanjay Pooran Singh, however, could not be made.

As per reports, Sushant had also started training at NASA for the film, which was said to be centered around space exploration and was meant to showcase India's journey in the field of space science. The film, however, had faced delays and its production cost was extremely high. Due to this, the film was shelved.

Sharing pics from his visit to the US Space & Rocket Center, Sushant had shared a post that read, "From a miniature Rocket to a life size one, this grown up kid will never cease to Dream. My mother always wanted her 'Sushant in Space'."

ABOUT SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT'S DEATH

Tragically, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. He was found dead in his flat in Bandra. His sudden and untimely demise led to widespread shock and grief within the entertainment industry and among his fans.

Sushant last featured in Dil Bechara, which came out after his tragic death. The film was based on John Green's 2012 novel, The Fault in Our Stars, and featured Sushant and Sanjana in the roles of individuals with terminal cancer.
