Citadel Premiere: Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Rekha & Others Attend Starry Night In Style

Citadel premiere: If there is something we can say about the star-studded Asia Pacific premiere of the epic spy-thriller series Citadel, then it is grand and spectacular. The landmark and high-stake drama series is executive produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO and showrunner David Weil. While it stars two of the hottest actors in the industry, Richard Madden, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. It also features Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in key roles.

Meanwhile, ahead of the show's launch on Prime Video on April 28, the streaming service hosted a special premiere of the series in Mumbai last night, kicking off the series global tour with India as its first stop.

It will be followed by Rome and London next. The glitz and glamour of the blue carpet witnessed not only the lead cast-Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra-but it also saw Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Prime Video, Sushant Sreeram, Country Director, Prime Video, India, as well as some of the most esteemed names from film, television, and Bollywood gracing the premiere with their presence.

Adding more fun to the starry night, actor Varun Dhawan, who will be headlining the Indian installment of Citadel Universe, was also seen at the event. Indian Citadel creators Raj and DK and writer Sita R. Menon were also present.

Celebrities like Rekha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rasika Dugal, Sanya Malhotra, Shweta Tripathi, Sikander Kher, Mohit Raina, Ali Fazal, Rakulpreet Singh, and Jim Sarbh attended the screening, while directors and producers like Madhur Bhandarkar, Kabir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Vikramaditya Motwane, amongst others, put on their best sartorial looks.

Guests at the premiere were seen not only enjoying the evening but also heaping praise on the stunning action and captivating twists in the series storyline. They were also blown away by the enormous scale of Citadel, a spy series packed with covert operations, counterintelligence, and double allegiances.

Talking about the series, Citadel consists of six parts, with two episodes premiering on April 28 on Prime Video and one episode rolling out every week, through May 26. Executive produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO and showrunner David Weil. Headlined by Priyanka and Game of Thrones fame Richard Madden, the psy thriller will stream across 240 countries and territories in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
