Suicide
Case:
In
the
latest
development,
the
Mumbai
Police
is
set
to
form
a
Special
Investigation
Team
(SIT)
to
probe
the
death
of
Disha
Salian,
the
former
manager
of
late
Sushant
Singh
Rajput.
The
decision
comes
after
Additional
Chief
Secretary
Home,
Sujata
Saunik,
issued
orders
for
the
investigation.
After
which,
the
state
government
directed
the
Mumbai
Police
to
launch
a
detailed
inquiry.The
SIT
will
be
led
by
the
Additional
Commissioner
of
the
North
Region.

The
formation
of
the
SIT
comes
after
demands
from
several
Shinde
camp
MLAs
for
a
thorough
investigation
into
the
Disha
Salian
suicide
case.
The
Bharatiya
Janata
Party
had
previously
accused
the
Maha
Vikas
Aghadi
government,
led
by
Uddhav
Thackeray,
of
suppressing
information
related
to
Disha
Salian's
death.

SALIAN'S
DEATH
Meanwhile,
Disha
Salian
reportedly
died
after
falling
from
a
high-rise
building
in
the
Malad
area
of
Mumbai
on
June
8,
2020.
Her
unfortunate
death
took
place
just
days
before
Sushant
Singh
Rajput's
tragic
demise.
Amidst
the
controversies
surrounding
her
death,
Disha's
parents,
Satish
Salian
and
Vasanti
Salian,
had
written
to
then
President
Ram
Nath
Kovind,
urging
action
against
Union
Minister
Narayan
Rane,
his
MLA
son
Nitesh,
and
others.
The
parents
alleged
also
informed
him
about
the
false
information
that
was
being
spread
about
their
daughter's
death,
which
led
to
the
defamation
of
their
family.
In
their
plea
for
justice,
Disha's
parents
also
stated
that
if
justice
is
not
served,
they
would
be
left
with
no
choice
but
to
end
their
lives.
They
also
requested
for
the
removal
of
defamatory
content
from
all
media
platforms
related
to
their
daughter's
death.
