Dunki First Review: Shah Rukh Khan & Vicky’s Comedy Drama To Redefine Classics & Bring Heartwarming Nostalgia

Dunki First Review: After winning hearts and setting the box office on fire with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan and Atlee directorial Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is coming up with his third release of the year and the audience can't keep calm about it. We are talking about Rajkumar Hiran's upcoming directorial Dunki which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in key roles which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
The movie marks Shah Rukh Khan's first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani and it has been creating ripples in the industry ever since it was announced. From the first look poster to teaser, trailer and even songs, everything about Dunki has been the talk of the town. And while the countdown for Dunki's big release has begun, we have got our first hands on the first review of this Shah Rukh Khan starrer.
Dunki Review
As per a tweet shared by Always Bollywood, Dunki is said to be a heartwarming nostalgic treat. The tweet also hailed Shah Rukh Khan and Boman Irani's respective performances. The tweet read as, "#Dunki redefines the classics with its heartwarming & sensitive flavour filled with entertainment quotient... This will be entrenched in your heart with it & bring nostalgia- however of the warmest sort.. @iamsrk & @bomanirani are the best among here". It also gave Dunki 4 stars out of 5.
Interestingly, Dunki will be witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas' much anticipated Salaar which will be hitting the box office on December 22. As per a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki has raked in a collection of Rs 5.17 crores from advance booking so far. Talking about the clash, Salaar producer Vijay Kirangdur told Bollywood Hungama, "We don't want things to be ugly. We are already having meetings with the exhibitors and distributors. When we have a solo release, the occupancy generally will be around 60-70 percent. Some screens will go to 'Aquaman', but between Salaar and 'Dunki', we hope to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario. In such a scenario, if an occupancy of 90-100 percent is achieved, it'll be a good result for both films".
