The upcoming movie Kushi, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda, has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Scheduled for release on September 1, the film's makers have secured the rating well in advance. Samantha shared on her Instagram Stories that the film has been granted a U/A certification. Furthermore, she announced that bookings for "Kushi" are now available. According to reports, the movie's runtime has also been disclosed, with "Kushi" expected to run for 165 minutes.

Veteran actress Saira Banu, who is celebrating her 79th birthday today, shared a few unseen pics on Instagram with her late husband, legendary actor Dilip Kumar, and recalled how he travelled from Chennai to Mumbai to propose to her on her 22nd birthday. In the first photo, which is a monochrome one, a young Saira can be seen holding a bouquet and garlands as she stands near a cake that is kept on the table, while Dilip Kumar smiles and looks at her. It also featured Rajendra Kumar and Dev Anand. The second picture shows Dilip and Saira holding a knife as they both cut a cake. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff in lead roles, the 1993 superhit action drama Khal Nayak recently completed 30 years. The film’s initial release date was August 6. To celebrate three decades of the movie, the makers are set to re-release the movie for the audience on September 5, 2023, in theatres. Directed and produced by Subhash Ghai revealed that a star-studded movie premiere will also be organised on September 4. In a statement, the filmmaker stated, "As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Khal Nayak, I am thrilled to announce that Mukta Arts is preparing to re-release this iconic film in Mukta Theatre's chains on September 5th. The love and support we received from the audience three decades ago were truly overwhelming, and it feels like the perfect time to bring back the magic of Khal Nayak to the big screen. Khal Nayak holds a special place in my heart, and I can't wait for audiences to experience its power once again."

According to reports, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday starrer 2019 hit movie 'Pati Patni Aur Woh,' is getting ready for its sequel. As per sources, the script for the sequel is currently in progress. India Today quoted a source saying, "Kartik and Bhumi will reunite for the sequel to 'Pati Patni Aur Woh.' However, Ananya will not be returning, as the role of 'woh' in the film will undergo a change this time. The team is presently exploring options to cast another actress." The film will go on the floor early next year.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi on Tuesday night took to her Twitter page to inform people about someone trying to impersonate her via messages. Her associate issued a notice regarding the phishing attempts that are being launched using her name. She said that she has also lodged a police complaint in the matter. Her notice read, "It has come to our notice that some of our colleagues and associates, have received messages purported to be from Ms Shabana Azmi. These are clearly "phishing" attempts asking responders to make purchases on App Store for the messenger."

Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher's Ghoomer has received positive reviews, but the film has not been underperforming at the box office. On day 5, Tuesday, it collected approximately Rs 30 lakhs, taking its total collection to around Rs 4.09 crore. Directed by R Balki, Ghoomer also stars Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi, and Ivanka Das in pivotal roles. Amitabh Bachchan and former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi have cameos in the film.

Late actors Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali’s son, Aditya Raj Kapoor, completed his graduation at the age of 67. He earned a BA degree in philosophy via correspondence from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and credited his daughter Tulsi for pushing him to pursue his education. Talking about it with ETimes, he said, "Over the years I realised my error. But that was not enough, it was only when I felt the emptiness within me that I realised the importance of value education. Which brings me to my subject: Philosophy." Further, he also added that he did this for his mother, Geeta Bali. "My family was ecstatic. They couldn't believe that I stuck through. I have enrolled for my Masters in Philosophy. I did this for my mother Geeta Bali. This is all the impact of a Guru. My Guru: Bhole Baba. He wanted me to be different. So I am."

Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer satirical comedy OMG 2 has slowed down in its second week after grossing Rs 100 crore. On Tuesday, August 22, the film collected Rs 3.20 crore. Helmed by Amit Rai, its overall collection now stands at Rs 120.62 crore. OMG 2 had opened in theatres on August 11 amid tough competition from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's Gadar 2. OMG 2 was given an A certification and focuses on teenage sex education.

As per reports, exes Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon might come together after 19 years for Welcome 3. If a report by Filmfare is to be believed, Raveena is likely to be roped in as the lead lady in Welcome 3. However, no official confirmation regarding the update has been made so far. If this happens, it will mark the actors' reunion after 19 years. Akshay and Raveena last shared screens for Aan: Men at Work in 2004. Meanwhile, Welcome 3 is titled Welcome To The Jungle. The original two films in the Welcome franchise were released in 2007 and 2015, respectively. Another set of new additions to the franchise are Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, and Jacqueline Fernandes.
