Fun-Filled Teaser Of Takeshi’s Castle With Bhuvan Bam’s Special Commentary As ‘Titu Mama’ Unveiled

Prime Video today unveiled the premiere date with a fun-filled teaser for the Indian reboot, Takeshi’s Castle. Retaining the fun-filled eccentricities of the original version, the popular 80s Japanese game show reboots thirty-four years later with commentary by actor and content creator Bhuvan Bam, who revives the BB Ki Vines’ popular character ‘Titu Mama’. The eight-episode series will stream exclusively for viewers on Prime Video in India starting November 2. The video begins with Titu Mama going about his daily job of being a shoe salesman, which he hilariously dubs as being a 'shoe stopper', when the Yakuza enter the store and abduct him unceremoniously. It is later revealed that Titu Mama owes the Yazuka, and the only way to repay the debt is by voicing the Hindi reboot of the iconic Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle. As is apparent in the video, the reboot retains the essence of the original show, where over 100 contestants rush through one crazy challenge after another in the hopes of winning the lucrative prize money of one million yen. With actor and content creator Bhuvan Bam, albeit on the Yakuza’s gun point, sharing his unique Indian perspective to the show, the upcoming series promises bucket-loads of entertainment for the viewers.

'Shaft' Star Richard Roundtree, Considered The 'First Black Action' Movie Hero, Has Died At 81

Richard Roundtree, the trailblazing black actor who starred as the ultra-smooth private detective “Shaft” in several films beginning in the early 1970s, has died. He was 81. Roundtree's longtime manager, Patrick McMinn, said the actor had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993 and underwent a double mastectomy. “Richard's work and career served as a turning point for African American leading men,” McMinn said. “The impact he had on the industry cannot be overstated.” Roundtree, who was born in New Rochelle, New York, was considered the “first black action hero” and became one of the leading actors in the blaxploitation genre through his New York street-smart John Shaft character in the 1971 Gordon Parks-directed film. At age 28, it was Roundtree's first feature film appearance after starting his career as a model. Roundtree's “Shaft” was part of a change in how black movies were viewed in Hollywood, which failed to consider black actors—especially for leading roles—in projects at the time. Through his 50-plus-year career, Roundtree appeared in a number of other notable films, including “Earthquake,” “Man Friday” with Peter O'Toole, “Roots,” “Maniac Cop,” "Se7en,” and “What Men Want,” starring Taraji P. Henson. He also made his mark with television roles on “Magnum P.I.,” “The Love Boat,” “Being Mary Jane,” and “The Love Boat.” In 1995, Roundtree received a lifetime achievement award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Ranbir Kapoor Finally Reacts To Alia Bhatt’s ‘Wipe-Off Lipstick’ Statement

Ranbir Kapoor broke his silence on Alia Bhatt’s ‘wipe off your lipstick statement. Earlier, in a makeup tutorial, Alia mentioned how her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, asked her to wipe off the lipstick because he liked the natural colour of her lips. This caused a stir on social media, and many labelled him a big red flag for dictating terms to his wife. Reacting to the same, Ranbir recently spoke to his fans and addressed the issue. He said, “Hey, m not on social media so I don’t have to need to deal with it which is a great thing. But I feel negativity is very important especially if you are an artist and if you have some work out there I think both need to exist because then that creates a balance. You know sometimes a lot of things are written about you as an actor, a lot of opinions are made which are not necessarily true and if you take it for a pinch of salt because I this image of mine which has been created by the movies or the characters I play or by media is something that I don’t own. It’s owned by the public, it’s owned by people who like my work or dislike my work and they are allowed to say anything about me as long as they give my work a chance you know as long as I can prove to them as an actor and that has always been my focus is just to act. Recently, I was reading some article about being toxic and something relating to some statement I made and I understand this. And I am on the side of the people who are fighting for the toxic masculinity, if they use me as the face of it, it’s fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling bad about them having an opinion about what I said.”
