On Monday, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled a new poster for his upcoming actioner Jawan that introduced Nayanthara's character. She can be seen as a stylish badass cop avatar wielding a machine gun and donning black sunglasses. The film marks the actress' Hindi film debut. Sharing the poster on social media, Shah Rukh wrote, "She is the thunder that comes before the storm! Nayanthara Jawan Prevue out now! Jawan releasing worldwide on 7th September 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu." Jawan is directed by Atlee and will release on September 7.

Salman Khan took to social media on Monday and issued an official clarification on behalf of himself and his production company, Salman Khan Films. In the note, the actor mentioned that neither he nor his production house have hired any casting agents for any film currently. He also added that legal action will be taken against those misusing his name and his company’s name. The statement read: "This is to clarify that neither Mr. Salman Khan nor Salman Khan Films are casting for any film currently. We have not hired any casting agents for any of our future films. Please do not trust any emails or messages received by you for this purpose. Legal action will be taken if any party is found falsely using Mr. Khan’s or SKF’s name in any unauthorized manner." Vikramaditya Motwane’s directorial debut, Udaan, which was released in 2010, completed 13 years on July 16. It starred debutant Rajat Barmecha and Ronit Roy, who played his father. Rajat Barmecha played a suppressed boy who wants to break free from his father’s control. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's bi-lingual film Merry Christmas finally got its release date. Helmed by Shriram Raghavan, the film will release worldwide on December 15, 2023. Sharing the posters on Instagram, Tips Official page wrote, "We decided to cut short the wait for the Christmas cheer! #MerryChristmas releasing in theatres near you ON 15th DECEMBER 2023." The Hindi version of Merry Christmas co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles.

Rapper Badshah recently recalled in an interview an anecdote about meeting actors’ Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan after their patch-up following their highly publicised tiff. In a conversation with Raj Shamani in his podcast, Badshah talked about meeting the superstars after their reconciliation and said, "I met Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan at the backstage of an award show. I think they’d just had their patch up, apparently. I remember my manager telling me, ‘Shah Rukh sir is calling you’. I went to meet him, Salman sir was also there. According to early box office estimates, Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell starrer Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part One, on its fifth day, Sunday, has collected Rs 17 Crore in India in all languages. On day 1, the film earned Rs 12.3 Crore, while on days 2 and 3, it saw a drop, earning Rs 8.7 Crore and Rs 9 crore, respectively. And on day 4, it witnessed a jump by collecting Rs 16 Crore in domestic circuits. This brings the film’s total collection to Rs 63.20 crore. The film will soon enter the 100 crore club in the coming weeks.

Actress Parineeti Chopra and her fiance, politician Raghav Chadha, who got engaged on May 13 in Delhi, are likely to get married in October this year. The couple is yet to finalise a venue for their wedding. Earlier, it was reported that they would host two wedding receptions in Chandigarh and Mumbai, but now, according to the latest buzz, instead of two receptions, the duo will host the said function at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel. As per a report by the Hindustan Times, the couple’s parents, Pawan Chopra-Reena Chopra, and Sunil Chadha-Alka Chadha, even visited the hotel for a food tasting session this week. "On Friday, there was a buzz in the hotel that Parineeti, Raghav and their families would be coming for a food tasting around 7:00 pm, but then it was moved to 9:00 pm," the source was quoted as saying.
